Substance have published the Interim Reports from the Social and Community Benefits of Angling research project. The research, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, runs for three years and these interim reports mark the end of the first year. They are available for download at the project website, www.anglingresearch.org.uk

There are four reports in total:
- A Summary Interim Report
- Angling Participation Interim Report
- Angling and Young People Interim Report
- Angling and Rural Areas, Assynt Study Interim Report

The project held a very successful dissemination event in Manchester on December 11th with the Environment Agency, Angling Trust, Angling Development Board Get Hooked on Fishing and the Angling Development Board of Scotland all in attendance.

The project continues until 2011.
