On Friday 18th July Supporters Direct launched two new Briefing Papers, authored by Substance, at their Annual Conference in Chester. The two briefing papers – Financing Supporter Community Ownership and The Business Advantages of Supporter Community Ownership – are the 3rd and 4th in a series written by Substance for Supporters Direct. The finance paper provides advice and guidance to supporters trusts, including on community share schemes and the business advantages paper provides evidence from research commissioned by Supporters Direct from Substance.

Dr Adam Brown did a launch presentation for the conference as well as running two workshops and Substance associate researcher Fiona McGee ran a further workshop. The first two papers – Developing Public Policy and Developing Football’s Regulation - were launched at Portcullis House, Westminster in May at an event attended by 30 Members of Parliament.
