Substance were part of a consortium that researched a new evaluation framework for major events for UK Sport and a consortium of event commissioners and organisers in 2008-09.
UK Sport - Evaluation Framework for Major Events (2008-09)
The project was led by Sheffield Hallam University and also included Cardiff and Stirling Universities. Adam Brown led Substance's input to The Development of an Evaluative Framework to Assess and Measure the Impacts of Hosting Major Events which explored new ways in which social, cultural and environmental impacts could be assessed.
The research delivered a framework as well as a tool kit for event organisers that sought to provide a more robust evidence base for major event impacts.
