In 2008 we commissioned Substance to undertake some research on the Social Value of Football Clubs. Substance was chosen to due to their rich background of Social Research in Sport with a reputation of having a great understanding of the issues facing communities and how they need to be considered in this type of research. Their knowledge has brought considerable value to the research and the trust developed allows us to take on board their suggestions without questioning their motives.
